Fixing technical problem

If you’re on the app and you experience a technical glitch:

  1. Check if you're using the latest version of the Vinted app

Simply go to the App Store and search for Vinted. If you see ''Open'', your app is up to date. If you see ''Update'''(or ''Get''), go ahead and tap it because your app needs an update! Afterwards, check to see if that fixed the problem for you.

  2. Check if your device’s iOS (operating system) version is higher than iOS 10

Go to Settings → General → About → Version. If you see ''iOS 10'', this means your OS version is outdated. You can update it by following these steps: General → Software Update. We stopped releasing new app updates for iOS 10 users a while ago, so you’ll need to update if possible.

  3. Finally, try reinstalling the app

Touch and hold the Vinted app on your home screen. The ''⊝'' sign will appear on a top-left corner to Remove the App. Proceed by tapping on it. Then choose Delete App and Delete to confirm. Once it’s deleted, go to the App store, find the Vinted app again to reinstall it. Log in to see if that’s fixed the problem.

If the problem is still there, please contact us with the following info:

  • A screenshot showing where the problem is visible
  • iPad/iPhone model
  • iOS version (Settings → General → About → Version)
  • App version (Vinted app → Profile → My Settings → Scroll to the very bottom, that’s where you’ll find the number)
  • If there's an error — date & time the error was last displayed

While you wait for our team's response, you can use our website www.vinted.fr — just log in with your username and password to get started. Chrome and Safari work best with Vinted. Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

  2. Check your device to see if your Android version is up to date (5.0 and the newer ones)

Go to phone ''Settings'' and see ''About Phone'' (Device) or ''Software info'' to know which Android version you are currently using.

To update the current version, you’ll find the Software update option suggested in the Settings.

  3. Important last step: clear the application data and reinstall the app

Tap on ''Settings'' → ''Apps'' (Application Manager), and choose the Vinted app to uninstall it. Then go to the Play Store, type ''Vinted'' and install the app again. Once you open the app and log in we’re almost positive the issue will be gone! Don't worry you won't lose any info if you do this!

If you’re on the website instead of the app and you experience a technical glitch:

1. Try a different browser or computer

Chrome and Safari work the best with Vinted. Internet Explorer is no longer supported.

2. Clear your cache and cookies

If you use Chrome or Firefox:

    • Press: (Windows) Ctrl+Shift+Delete/(Mac) Command key(⌘)+Shift+Backspace
    • Make sure the first 4 boxes are checked
    • Choose to delete from ''The beginning of time''/''Everything''
    • Press ''Clear browsing data'

If you use Safari:

    • Top Menu Bar → History → ''Clear History''
    • Select ''All history'' from the drop-down menu
    • Hit ''Clear History''

3. Close your browser and start it up again. Hopefully, that will get rid of any glitches!

4. If possible, update your browser. This website will show if your browser's up to date.

5. Try restarting your computer.

6. Turn off/edit any adblockers or antivirus extensions. They may be blocking elements on the pages you view. Make sure they’re either turned off completely or that Vinted.fr is on their exception list.

If that doesn’t fix the problem, please contact us and include the following details:

  • A screenshot showing where the problem is visible
  • Are you using Windows or Mac? Which Version?
  • Name and the version of the browser you're using
